The first duanju screenings in France
Organised by the Studio Phocéen association in Montmartre, these two evenings laid the first foundations of duanju in France.
On November 23, 2024, the country's very first vertical screening took place at the Gouttes Cave Tattoo bistro, in front of around sixty attendees, featuring fiction produced by Sanjorge Production. Guests included actors Jean-Louis Barcelona (OSS 117, Les Profs, Astérix et Obélix) and Magali Semetys (Les Mystères de l'Amour), as well as producer Jean-François Fonlupt, a four-time Palme d'Or winner with Ciby 2000.
On June 14, 2025, the evening took on an international dimension, bringing together producers, screenwriters and actors from China, the United Kingdom, Mexico and the United States. Among them: British producer Adam Gee (BAFTA, Emmy), Chinese producer Wenwen Han (Short Drama Alliance), and actor Michel La Rosa, alongside speakers such as Jenny Rosen, Karla M. Rodriguez, Yamile Vaena and Jen Cooper.
